The question of safety on dating apps isn’t anything new though. Before a 36-year-old man in Oregon charged with attempted murder shot and killed himself during a standoff with authorities late last month, the Grants Pass Police Department warned the public that Foster could be using dating apps while on the run, calling into question safety measures on some of the major dating apps and what steps users can take to protect themselves.
